Our process is so simple. We create 2-hour, family-friendly cabaret shows. We offer them up to needful organizations in the community. We work with each organization to select a show, find a suitable venue and promote the event. The benefiting organizations sell the tickets and keep the proceeds.

By bringing cabaret into the community at large, we introduce new people to our wonderful, but little-known art form, and we introduce cabaret artists and fans to outstanding organizations in their communities. Perhaps most importantly, audiences see us doing what we can with what we have, and they are often inspired to do the same. It is truly remarkable.

And there is so much more we can do! As word is spreading, there are more and more organizations who wish to take advantage of what we have to offer—women's shelters, animal rescues, homeless/hungry programs, arts organization, youth and literacy programs, health organizations… this list goes on. This means there are unlimited more dollars we can help to raise… thousands more people we can introduce to cabaret… much more kindness we can spread and inspire! And we would love your help.

While most performing arts organizations rely on revenue from tickets sales to help sustain them, we donate almost all such revenue to charity. The first Acts Of Kindness Cabaret performance was held in January 2002. Since then, working only part time, we raised thousands of dollars for charity and introduced countless people to the wonderful world of cabaret.

As we begin our life as a full-time organization in 2005, our short-term goal is to provide one benefit performance per month, raising tens of thousands of dollars annually for needful organizations in our region and introducing thousands of new patrons to the wonderful world of cabaret. In the coming years, we would like to increase those numbers, both by offering more benefits per year locally and by creating AOK Cabaret chapters in other cities across the country.
