Hilary Ann Feldman Founder and Executive/Artistic Director Hilary is a Chicago-based singer, actor, and musical director. She received a Bachelor of Music in Music Theory and Composition, with a voice minor, from the University of Illinois in Urbana and a Post Graduate Degree in Music Production and Engineering, with a voice emphasis, from Berklee College of Music in Boston . After returning to Chicago in 1993, Hilary worked as a freelance audio engineer for a year before quitting her life and starting over as a performer. After years working in Chicago-area musical theatre, Hilary is now primarily a cabaret singer and vocal coach. She is a proud member of Chicago Cabaret Professionals and recently completed runs of her one-woman shows “May I Suggest…” and “What Was I Thinking?” at Davenport 's Cabaret Room in Chicago . As a performer and teacher, Hilary has been her own boss and staff for the past dozen years. In addition, Hilary runs her own successful cosmetics business, works freelance as a professional organizer, and has served as a mentor and trainer to dozens of other women struggling to find independence and balance in the business world. Hilary's combination of passion for both her art and for humanitarian work, her organizational and people skills, her independent business experience, and her undying excitement and belief in what is possible culminated into the founding Acts Of Kindness Cabaret. Hilary is grateful every day for this organization, for the people it brings into her life, and for the opportunity to help make the world a kinder place, one song at a time. |
